Jord took off Friday and we went and ate at Iguana Grill overlooking the lake which was gorgeous. Such a change from last year with the drought!
Judy has always wanted to see the Lady Bird gardens and we finally made it this time around! We were a little disappointed at the lack of flowers that were there, but there were a lot of plants to look at!
Blue bonnets are in full bloom right now and I have never seen this amount ever in all the years we have lived here. It is so beautiful driving down the road with all of the wild flowers in bloom. So we found a patch (not on the side of the road but at the gardens!) and "tried" to get a picture of Drake. Out of the 15 Gary and I took, this is probably the only good one!
All of us at the gardens
Gary & Jordan climbing this thing. I don't know what it was but I liked the stone on it!
Drake pointing at them.
The next day we went down to Congress street and as we were nearing closer we start seeing all of these restored cars cruisin' the street and parked everywhere. Gary starts naming off all of the types of cars and before we know it we are in the middle of a big car fest that just happened to be going on that day. The cars were pretty sweet to look at and I was glad that Gary was having such a great time seeing all of them. After eating a delicious cupcake at "Hey Cupcake" we walked Congress admiring all of the cars.I had to take a pic of Gary because this is how he looked the whole way down!
Drake enjoying the view!
There were massive amounts of people down there which made it pretty fun to be in the midst of it all. There is nothing like getting a little "people watching" in!
