The First of Many...

It was a boating weekend and we had a blast... for the most part! Aside from a 17 month old that has a attitude and a mind of her own it was great! Our friends, the Barton's, kindly invited us to go out on their beautiful, new boat on Friday night and Saturday. As you can see in the pictures we are in sweatshirts with towels over us because it was a bit chilly and overcast, but that didn't stop us from having fun. The guys did a bit of wakeboarding while Alyse and I tended kids, we ate on the lake while Alyse and I tended kids, and cruised around on Lake Austin... while Alyse and I tended kids! Do you get my drift? We still had a great time. Maddie even went out on the tube with Tate, I was so proud! Friday she loved it; blowing kisses, waving, but Saturday she didn't want to have any part of it. All in all we can't wait until next time!

Checking out her new life jacket.

Sorry it's blurry... I hate my camera.

Just close your eyes if you are noticing she doesn't have a life jacket on, but do notice that Jordan is in the background wakeboarding.

Besides Paul or Jordan, Maddie was the other driver when the boat was off. She loved that seat for some reason.

Happpy Mother's Day!

I had a great Mother's Day yesterday and I hope all of you that are mothers did as well. Jordan spoiled me and brought me breakfast in bed in the morning with a such a nice card. I ordered a dress for my gift online that is backordered but I am still excited to get it. Then that afternoon after church we got to talk to my sister, Brittney, who is on her mission in Albania. I really looked forward to talking to her and to hear her voice was awesome, I just wish we had longer to talk! I miss her so much but am so proud of her and how hard she is working. After we talked to her we had our friends, the Barton's, over for dinner. The guys took over, cooked everything, did all of the dishes and cleaned up. It was fabulous! Thanks Jord for making Mother's Day so special.

I wanted to highlight my Mom because I now know what it takes to be a Mom and if I can be anything like my Mom, I will be doing something right. There are so many attributes I love about her and I appreciate now than ever who she is and what she means to me.
Love you Mom!

SeaWorld... Again!

Saturday we decided to go down to Sea World again with the Barton's and since it was about 97 degrees out with probably 85 percent humidity (atleast that is what it felt like), we spent alot of time at the waterpark. You usually go to Sea World to see the animals, umm we saw the sharks that were inside, the dolphins, and the Shamu show and we were done; ready to get out of the hot, sticky weather! That is the reason for the lack of pics because I was not about to get into one of them and I was to preoccupied trying to find water than to find my camera, maybe next time! That is the joy of seasons passes right!?

Sorry this is sideways, I always forget.

Yay for visitors!

Last weekend my Mom and Grandma came into town to visit for a couple of days and it was fabulous! My Grandma has never been to out to visit us yet and it had been about 6 months since my Mom was out, so it was great to have them here! We had a great time showing Austin off and had beautiful weather so we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks Mom and Grandma for such a great time!
We went to eat at the Oasis right on Lake Travis, great view not so good food but fun experience. Goal in life...to have a house right on this lake! (I dream big ok)
After the Oasis we did a little sight seeing downtown and stopped at Zilker Park to let Maddie run around. Fun park, they have a natural water hole that you can go swimming in which was pretty neat, I think we might have to try that out this summer, a little train to take rides on, and a big playscape.

Bubbles!!! That is all Maddie says when the bubble maker is on. So cute!

Gigi was the book reader for the weekend and Maddie loved it. She loved having company, especially Grandmas that spoil her!

I love this picture. Maddie woke up from a nap unhappy and still tired so snuggling with Grandma and watching Dora was just the right medicine.

Maddie got a new playhouse and she loves it. She carries around the utensils it came with all day long as well as pushing the doorbell, I don't remember these elaborate toys when I was this little!

This was just a cute video of Maddie talking and almost flying off the slide, she is hilarious, no fear at all in that little body. ( and I can't get it centered, oh well)
