Girls Camp Tshirts

I was in charge of making the Girls Camp Tees for my church this year, coming up with a design and how to do it. So researching online I found this awesome way to make designs on shirts! It's called freezer paper, I could only find it at Wal-Mart, and you just cut out your design and iron it on to the shirt to act as your stencil. So I came up with this design with my Silhouette, cut it out, ironed it on and wha-la our own custom stencil!

Then all the girls got to paint in the stencil how they wanted. It takes probably 4 or 5 coats for the paint to be a true color, especially on our blue shirts.

After letting the paint dry, I peeled off the stencil/freezer paper and...

Ironed over it one more time, with a cloth over it, to seal the paint and now we have some good lookin' shirts for camp!

Fun with Mimi and Papa

Gary and Judy came and visited a couple of weeks ago and, as always, we had a great time. Drake loved having the company and attention!

Papa let Drake be silly and put on his glasses...

Drake loved having books read to him and songs sung by Mimi...

We went to the park while Daddy was at work...

And got some nice boo-boo's (both on separate occasions!)...

Ate at our favorite restaurants!...

And took a nice road trip out to College Station to see the George Bush Library!

We loved having them here in Texas with us and spending time with them! The time always flies when you are having fun! Thanks Mimi and Papa!

It's A...

GIRL!!!
Bright and early on a Tuesday at 7 am, all three of us take off to find out what this little baby is. I personally was soo super excited, I checked in and they ask "Who is your doctor", so I tell them and they procede to tell me that my appointment was for Wednesday at 7am. My shoulders slump and I walk out to meet Jordan and Drake coming out of the elevator, "It's not 'till tomorrow" I tell them and Jordan goes off to work and Drake and I take off for home tired. So the next day alarm was set and we all head off again. We are not morning risers at our house, Jordan had to go to work anyways, but Drake and I were not used to getting up so early at 6:30am. But we did, I checked in and we waited. I have had this same doctor for both of my pregnancies and if anyone knows him, they know that he is notoriously late, hence I made my appt the first one of the day...Nope it didn't matter. We were still there for 2 hours. I don't get it. After about an hour we were called back and waited some more! You might be thinking, why not just get a new doctor? No, No, No not an option, the wait is worth it, I love my doctor so much and would never try someone new, but the waiting does get a little old.
Luckily Jordan had his ipod so Drake could watch Elmo, but that only lasts so long, then he ate his dry cereal, then we got to this point.... spinning on the doc's chair.

Finally my doc came in and we got to see our beautiful, healthy girl! When my doc said it was a girl I was so excited! It was what we were wanting so bad. I am so ready to bring all of Maddie's stuff back out and have another little girl in our home. I know it is a blessing.

After all of that Drake was so done and ready to get out of there and to be honest Jordan and I were too! But we left with happy hearts and fun pictures and crashed when we got home!
We are elated to know that we are having another girl and can't wait for her arrival!

Mother's Day

Jordan is the best at spoiling me on special days like Mother's Day. I woke up on Sunday to a delicious breakfast that Drake helped make, strawberry waffles my favorite, even served on our "You are special today" plate. I then opened my cards from Drake (one that Drake colored on and Jordan traced his hand on) and Jordan. After church I watched a movie with Drake all the while Jordan was again slaving in the kitchen making a delicious dinner. I didn't have to change any diapers and even got to squeeze in a nap. Yes, it was a great day and I have a great husband and great kids which makes me the luckiest wife/Mom ever.

Again I was a slacker on taking pictures to document everything, I really need to get better at that.

I made these for my Mom and Mother in law, unfortunately I only took a pic of one of them, but I loved how they turned out!

A Little Get Away

Jordan and I took off for South Carolina earlier this month for a little get away/Christmas present/anniversary celebration. We flew into Charleston and then drove up to Myrtle Beach. It was such a relaxing, fun trip for the both of us. I loved that we went with no plans and got to explore around a new city. You won't believe me but this was one of the only pictures we took while we were there! We hung out on the beach one day, went to dinners and movies, site saw and hung out! Not much to document. I bet we would have taken more if the weather was better, we got rained on one day, and the high was only like 70 degrees the whole time we were there. It was alot of fun, a perfect amount of time, and I loved spending one on one time with Jordan.
And while we were away...
My Mom and Sister were at our house entertaining/spoiling Drake! Everyday we got picture texts of the fun things they did. He didn't miss us at all! They went to the pool, the zoo, rode on the train and carousel, went to a bounce house place, saw Maddie (and got to play in the fountains!), and ate yummy food!!! They were awesome with him and we so appreciated them coming!
