It's Begun...

Football season is officially here. Are any other wives out there that don't especially enjoy football season like me? I have been married for almost 5 years now and still dread this time of year! I have to admit it's a little better now that all of my friends will get together while the boys watch but still, week after week, Sunday after Sunday (I am not a big "watching tv on Sunday" kind of a girl)... it gets old real fast, but Jordan absolutely loves it. Uh. I guess I am going to have to deal with the games, and he is going to have to deal with the complaining! Ok I am done with my rant.
I must admit, they do look cute in their Longhorn Orange though!

Chocolate Anyone?

Just kidding....not chocolate, but prunes....any advice for a constipated baby? :)

Oh Where Does The Time Go?

I decided I should post on our little man since he hit the big 6 month mark! Gosh, it's hard to believe. Drake is one happy boy who loves any kind of attention. All you have to do is just smile at him and a big gummy smile will appear with a squeal of excitement. Every baby has it's quirks, here are some of Drake's... ever since I can remember he has this little foot twirl going on 24/7. If he is laying on the ground they are twirling with his legs flexed out straight, in his car seat...twirling, in the shopping cart... twirling, in his high chair...twirling round and round, it is the funniest thing to watch and I love it! Since we have started baby food he has gotten pretty fond of the stuff, it took a couple of tries to find out his likes and dislikes but now he will grunt with excitement/"give me more" grunts the whole way through, it makes me laugh every time. He has very much mastered the jumping in his saucer, it's like he can't stop now. Even if he starts getting upset he will continue to bounce! Drake hums himself to sleep. I know when he is done playing in his crib and ready to drift off when he starts the humming. Or if I am not at home, it's nap time and I am trying to get him to sleep I know I am close when the humming begins. Jordan and I love going in after a nap to see the little guy because he gets super excited and starts throwing down his legs down as hard as he can. He brings them up to his chest, arches his back and throws them down, it is hilarious!
He is such a little love. He loves just to be held, kissed as much as you want, and snuggled with if you please. He is one special baby who I love so much. 6 months, where has the time gone? I don't know but I must admit I can't wait for the next 6 months and the next and the next.

WWE

This week we had a special night of entertainment hosted by our friends, the Olsen's and their five boys. They heard through the grapevine that Jordan is a huge fan of WWE and has been since high school (I know what you are thinking, Who is still into that? Yes, my husband). He is still a faithful viewer every week... thank goodness for DVR's for fast forward! So the Olsen boys planned out a WWE night and it was so cute. After a delicious dinner (thanks Michelle!) they dressed up in their costumes, lotioned up in baby oil, lights went out, fog machine on with a strobe light, music blaring (they each had their own theme song!), they were ready for the home made ring... it was awesome. Each of them had their entrances down and choreographed fights planned. Jordan was the last fight and he surprised them all by coming in with his Lucha Libre mask on, it was hilarious! They were all so in awe and had a blast all fighting him. Jordan had just as good as a time as the boys and loved sharing his love for wrestling with them. It's to bad the video wouldn't download because you guys would be in for a treat! (that and Jordan wouldn't let me post it!:)) I think it is so cute. Their boys are so fun and can't wait for round 2!

Disclaimer: No children were hurt in these pictures!

Poor Baby...

This is the result of leaving after telling my husband the wrong bedtime, poor baby.

Labor Day Fun

After months of working out in the gym at 5:30 in the morning everyday, then doing P90X for 3 months everyday, Jordan was ready for his 2nd Olympic Triathlon! Yesterday he did the Austin Tri. bright and early which is pretty neat because it is set up all throughout downtown. He came in a little under 3 hours, shaved off a little time from last year, and was even the first out of the water in his age group. He said the run killed him but I think he did pretty good considering it was only his 2nd one! He was definately tired at the end but Drake and I were there to cheer him on at the finish line. We were missing the Barton's with us since Paul did it with Jordan last year! We are counting on you guys next year!! (pinky promise! :))

This was his last lap in action. (I was sweating just sitting there so I could only imagine what all of them were feeling like!)

That ladies and gentleman is a smile of relief to have finished a mile swim, 24 mile bike ride and 6 mile run!

So proud of Daddy!

That afternoon we had a big BBQ with a bunch of friends. The entertainment.... the slip "n" slide and pools! None of the girls were brave enough to try but all the kiddos and husbands had a great time. (Minus all of the fire-ant bites!) We ended the night with leaving the boys with the kids and football while all of us girls did a little shopping spree at Compass Trading! Such a fun Labor Day!
