A Couple of Fun Weekends

We went to the Circus with a couple of friends and thought Drake would absolutely love it. Well, he loved the elephants and some of the acts but he really loved walking up and down our aisle and trying to climb over chairs. I was really surprised it didn't keep his attention the whole time. So we got some popcorn and Sprite and he was satisfied the rest of the time!

Drake really loved the freedom of running around after with all of his friends! We ended the night with dinner at a hamburger joint downtown with everyone and had a really fun day!

The next weekend we didn't have much going on and I have been wanting to check out our Children's Museum so we took Drake down there and he had a good time. I was quite disappointed with it though. Growing up in Las Vegas, I have to say they have a pretty sweet Children's Museum that I used to go to and loved. Austin's does not even compare, especially with the prices and how small it is. Not to mention the massive crowds that were there! Remind me NOT to go on a Saturday again!! But none the less Drake had a good time.

He loved all of the fun things you could do with the golf balls.

And the pipes...

Drake loved the painting with water...

And screwing screws into the board.

All around downtown Austin they have these different decorated cows and there was on right outside the Children's Museum. Drake jumped right on it but did not want to look at the camera. I think it was lunch time and nap time and just time to get away from the crowds!

It was a couple of fun family days and I love Saturday's spent doing things together. They are the most memorable and I love that Drake is getting old enough to be able to do fun things like these. I know this is cheesy but His happiness is my happiness and that happiness comes from spending time as a family.

Best Girlfriends Ever

At the end of July these sweet 5 ladies made my day. July 27th is a hard day and they all knew that so they planned a whole day of activities to support me. The plan was to go to the temple and do a session in honor of Maddie, which I was already so excited for. Then the plans grew to going shopping on the way at the San Marcos Outlets, then they grew to dinner after the temple and then to a movie and just making a whole day out of it! We have all been such close friends, some of us going on 3 years and some of us going on 5 years of knowing each other and I can't say that I have ever been closer to such a great group of girls ever. This meant the world to me and I loved every minute. I have to give another big thank you to Cassie (and Lynsie), Melinda, Wendy, Nina and Brandilyn for such a memorable day. I love you girls!
