QVC Debut!

I made my QVC debut over the weekend in Philadelphia! I arrived on Saturday afternoon and went straight downtown to get a couple of Cheesesteaks. If you ever been to Philadelphia I am sure you have heard of Pat's and Geno's. They are two competing Cheesesteak places that are right across the street from each other. They were both very good, I got them both with a little cheese wiz! After the cheesesteaks, I headed towards my hotel, but I had to make a stop at Rita's to get some Water Ice! Another must while in Philly!
On Sunday morning I left the hotel early so I could arrive in plenty of time at QVC headquarters in Malvern, PA. After arriving I looked over the set and reviewed a few specs. The first show went well. It was only around 15 minutes so it went by real quickly. The host was very nice and guided me through it. I didn't look at the camera much, but it went okay.
After the first show I headed over to my cousin Tyler Seamon's house and went to church with his wife Whitney and their family. (I even saw my old friend Josh Wible and his wife at church, they are out doing alarm systems for the summer.) After church, we went back over to their house for dinner. The studio isn't very far from their house so it is nice seeing them when I am out there.
I had to be back at the studio around 5:30 for the next show and this one I felt went a little smoother. I looked at the camera more and the conversation flowed. I even had a chance to plug the blog.
One of the highlights of the trip was getting to meet the founder of P90X, Tony Horton. Coincidentally, they were doing a QVC show as well while I was there. After my second show I walked over to his dressing room and let him know that I was on Day 50 of the program. He invited me in and we talked for around ten minutes about the program and the benefits of it. He was very nice.
Overall, I had a great time in Philadelphia. It was great seeing family and friends and the show ran pretty smoothly. Hopefully they will let me do it again.

Baby Nightmare's!

I think I should send this in to America's Funniest Home Videos! Poor Drake was having one heck of a dream. Check out the video.

Happy Father's Day!

A day to celebrate all of the hard working, supportive father's is well deserved by the men in my life. My dad has always been a great example to me and I have always had a great relationship with him, I appreciate it more now that I am older looking back at my childhood. My Dad is as hardworking as it gets with a great sense of humor. I have fantastic memories that are still growing with him. I love being around my dad and have always tried to make him proud of me. Along with my Dad's great example of being a father, Jordan is a great father to our children. This is his 3rd father's day and it is well deserved. He loves Maddie and Drake so much and he always tells Drake of all the plans he has for them together when he grows up. Mainly sporting events, but none the less being together as father and son. I love parenting with Jordan. Thank you for all of the hard work you do to support our family.
I think Jordan had a good day, starting off with breakfast in bed (first time ever, I still think it is a Mother's day thing, but I couldn't resist after being asked 3 times!), then presents and off to church with his sweet tie I made. (We made these with the children in primary to give to their fathers to wear and I made Jordan one too) After church we grilled up some delicous tri-tip, veggies, and twice baked potatoes with oreo crusted, mint choc. chip ice cream cake. Delish! What a spoiled man, but I love him! Happy Father's Day!

Update of the Walburgers

I know I haven't posted in a while and I have really been trying to think of stuff to blog about, but it's all just everyday life. We are just in coast mode right now it seems like but still keeping very busy. Jordan works a later shift right now so we are enjoying having him home in the mornings. Me especially because that means I am able to go to the gym in the mornings since Drake isn't old enough yet for the childcare. After not going to the gym for over 3 years has been really refreshing. I got really burnt out at the gym while living in Utah and had no desire but now I am loving it. It has been a great release for me. (By the way go to Costco and get a 2 yr. membership to 24 hour for $299 which equals out to $12.50 a month, what a steal!) So other than the gym, I am taking piano lessons once a week that I have also been thoroughly enjoying, and being primary president is a given to keep me busy! Jordan has completed 30 days so far of P90X, which if any of you know how grueling that is, is pretty impressive! Him and our good friend Ryan have been doing it in my front room EVERYDAY, besides Sunday. I have already told them they owe me new carpet!!! Their results have been awesome though. If you are very dedicated, you should try it!
Drake is our life right now and we are just enjoying him to pieces. I feel like I am the same Mom as I was to Maddie except for being way more precautious which I really don't like about myself and do it almost subconsciously. I was never a worried Mom with Maddie and now with Drake I am constantly checking on him while he is sleeping multiple times, I have to have my door wide open during the night so I can hear him if anything is wrong, I am constantly checking him in the rear view mirror while driving, and my prayers are never ending that he will be with us so I can see him grow up. I know it's good to be precautions but I don't like thinking of the reason why I am now.
As it nears closer and closer to July 27th I am reminded of what we were doing with Maddie a year ago. She had just stayed a week with my parents while we went on Jordan's business trip to Cancun. We would be starting swim lessons in the next week and going out on the boat with Paul, Alyse, Tate, and Taylor and having a great 4th of July. These memories just remind me of the day that nears closer and closer to her passing. It makes me physically sick and sad, because I miss her so much, but also happy that we do have those wonderful memories.
So right now we are coasting, doing well, going through our everyday life, but I would say have a lot on our minds as we reflect on the past year. Bittersweet, as we welcomed our sweet little Drake and said good bye to our sweet Maddie. But goodbye isn't a good word, because she is ours forever and that is still what puts a smile on my face. My grip on my testimony of the plan of salvation and the power of the atonement has not slipped an inch. I am because of Him. My family is because of Him. And I couldn't ask for anything more.

My Boys

Here are some cute pictures of my boys.
This was so cute of Jordan and Drake with their arms around eachother.
And no staging was involved!

I could eat this little boy up in this outfit! He looked so handsome. Jordan is always asking where his outfit is to match Drake.

Like father like son: white shirt, tie, and a summer buzz.

I love my handsome boys.

How Fast They Grow...

My baby is 3 months old today and I can't believe it! He has been nothing but the sweetest most chill baby ever. These picture totally capture his personality; if he isn't smiling he is just hanging out totally content while talking here and there. Now I understand how boys are so low maintenance! Drake is such a sweetheart and both Jordan and I can't get enough of him. I don't have those days where I am ready just to hand him over the second Jordan gets home or feel like I am constantly taking deep breaths which has been amazing. I have come to the conclusion that I think Heavenly Father figured he has given me enough trials and emotional difficulties to go through lately that he let me have someone who would give me peace and happiness. Yep, I think I am right. :) Drake is such a stud... here are some reasons why:
  • He sleeps from about 9:30-45pm - 7:30-8am, and has been for about 3 weeks now!
  • After I feed him in the morning he stays up for about a half hour and then back asleep for another good hour, hour and a half which means I get to go back to sleep.
  • He smiles when I talk to him which makes me feel so happy and loved.
  • He lets me take him around running errands for hours and doesn't complain.
  • He lets me do just about anything I want without complaining!
  • He is starting to really love his "softy". (If any of you knew Maddie she had to have her "softy" , it's just a square piece of the softest fabric with silk around the edges by Little Giraffe, to go to bed or to be comforted with or anything. She was already on her second one and she was 19 months! She loved it and now Drake has his and is starting to take to it just like his big sister.(They are wonderful!!))
  • He is a chunk! He is probably weighing in at about 15 lbs. right about now. I love my chunky babies!
  • I think he is a momma's boy which is all I could ask for! (He loves his daddy too, of course)

I love my little boy.
