Making fun cakes has always perked an interest of mine and I have
alot of fun doing it, so when I heard
JoAnns offers cake decorating classes I jumped at the chance and
con'd Cassie and Melinda into doing it with me. It was a Wilton beginner class and I totally enjoyed myself. I am not good at it, it
definitely takes practice, but when my children have birthdays I would love to be able to make fun birthday cakes. So this was a great start!
This was week 2 (week one you learn the basics) the star, zigzag, and writing. The colors don't really go but I was messing around with my new food coloring.

Week 3- flowers and shell border

Cassie and I after class-
we had a little girl's night at my house after, hence Cassie's cake! So cute.

Week 4- the rose and leaves

It was such a fun class to look forward to each week. I'm excited to try the fondant class now.

I am so impressed! They look professional. what a fun thing to do with friends, too.
You and Beth should do some cake decorating over Thanksgiving --- the two of you would be amazing! I'll just eat the yummy result. It's a tough job, but I've been practicing...
I can't believe your cakes looked that good after only 4 weeks. Did everyone's cakes look that good?
Wow...your roses look great! Sad I missed out on that one. I'll know who to call when I want to try! :)
Oh Marlo I am so jealous. I am very impress with your skills. How fun!! I miss doing fun things with you. I keep telling Paul we need to give Texas another try, and he's telling me heck no. I'm still working on a vacation there in December. Keep your fingers crossed!
I have always wanted to take a cake decorating class! You did awesome. Can't wait to see your next class.
