Weekend In Review

My blogging has been slow lately, what is the deal-io?! Well since we have been back from our long vacation we have just been hanging out getting back to a norm. Not to much that is blog worthy. So I decided I would do a little weekend in review. Friday Drake and I hung out at home mostly while Jordan worked late. Drake loves the balloons we get from HEB and was pretty entertained that night. I still remember Maddie loving getting the same balloons. The minute we would pull up to HEB she would say "Na-Noon, Na-Noon!"

Saturday was the big kick off to the football season, yippee...(heavy sarcasm). I think every year I have a post on football. I really like the parties we have with friends for the games, I really like the people I am around at the parties, I really dislike the actual game, and I really dislike how football is all consuming of my husbands life... I could go on but I am not. It's always the same story..... So back to Saturday, Texas and BYU played and we had a great time with friends. So here we are in our Texas outfits.
Sunday we went to church and today is Labor Day! We took Drake downtown and ate at Chuys, yum, and then to Zilker Park and played on the playground for a while. He was loving life going down this slide.

It was sooo humid and hot today. Oh it was hot. When it is that humid though Drake's hair starts to really curl in the back. I love it. Now that it is a little longer his curly locks are coming out.
While we were there we caught a ride on the Zilker Zephyr train. It was really fun, the first time we had been on it. Drake loved pointing out the birds, dogs, ducks on the ride.

By this point it is about 3 in the afternoon and Drake still hasn't taken a nap and doing pretty well. We were on a hunt for his Halloween costume and on the way we got him a recorder. I saw it in the dollar section and let's be honest it brought back so many memories of Mrs. Bonnell at Marion Earl elementary! We played them all the time in her class, oh memories. Anyways I had to get it for Drake and yes I played it too trying to remember the old songs. :)

Finally we were on the way home and stopped by the cemetery to see Maddie. While we were gone on our trip Nina brought some beautiful flowers for Maddie and we loved seeing them. It was so sweet, Jordan put Drake down next to Maddie's headstone and he immediately pointed at her picture and leaned down and kissed her. He did it a couple of times and would wonder off to smell some other people's flowers and come back and kiss Maddie again. So sweet.
Fun weekend in review and ready to start a new week! Hopefully things to be blog worthy of!

Football!!!! My husband is the same way! No matter what I do, I just can't get into the actual game. I'll stare at the screen for 5 minutes and not have a clue what I am watching.

I was talking to a girl the lives here in my complex and she was asking me about preschools around here. I had no idea what to tell her. Is there any schools that you know of that you would trust sending your kids to? Or do you know if there is a joyschool group around here? I just thought I'd ask you and even if you don't know, I mostly just wanted to say bye!

We take off this Saturday... it was so fun to meet you! Your family is just so cute and you can tell how happy you all are!
