My Saving Grace...

My mom came in last week to help me through Maddie's birthday and to say the least she did just that. She helped me so much and I will be forever grateful that she was here with me, keeping me busy. The day she came in I had a doctors appt. she got to go to with us to and a little baby update is that he is measuring big... 3 weeks big! I had a ultrasound and just like Maddie, has a big tummy and is measuring right around 3pds. 6 oz. already with a very large femer bone. What is it with these genes of mine? So March 2 at 7:30am we will meet this little guy!
While she was here we also got to take her to the Trail of Lights. This is our 3rd year in a row (see previous posts) and we still love it. As tradition now we have always gone with the James' and this year we brought along the Brosie's as well. We had a great time, I am always in awe at how many lights they use.
The rest of the time while my Mom was here we transferred the old nursery into a cute little boys nursery. I put all of Maddie's stuff away (clothes, blankets, shoes, dresses...everything girl). It was actually really good and almost a heavy weight lifted off my shoulders getting everything put away. I never really went in her room because of it and now that the room is transformed it feels good to go into that room and have, in a sense, a fresh start for this new baby. I was so glad to have the company of my mom there while I did it so I wasn't doing it alone. Unfortunately Jordan has been working crazy long hours ('tis the season) so I knew he wouldn't be home able to help.
I love how the room turned out. Minus a couple more things to do, it is finished! Thank you so much Mom for your help in painting my 12 ft. ceilings, your great ideas, your support, and love through that tough week.

Mom's are angels sent straight from heaven. My mom just helped me through the birth of little Ella--I couldn't have done it without her! I'm so glad you had support during the difficult time. I can't imagine putting it all away... the memories would be overwhelming. As always, you have a positive attitude and I admire you! The room looks awesome.

Your mom is SO great. Sometimes even though we get married, I think we still need our own mom at times.

Hi Marlo,

Marlo it was so nice to meet you in church today and to see Jordan again. You truly are a gorgeous couple :)

I hope you have felt loved by those who you don't even know. Many prayers have been offered on behalf of you and Jordan from our network of friends throughout northern Utah, southern Idaho, southern California and many other states across the country. Heavenly Father loves you so much and He is fully aware of each of His children, I know this with all of my heart.

Maddie is a beautiful girl and because of her, and your willingness to share with others of your experience, I am a better mother to my children.

I'm so excited to hear more about Drake coming to your family. You may know this already, but he will share his birthday with Dr. Seuss! Dr. Seuss' 105th birthday is this coming March 2nd. How cool is that?

I wish you all the best in the last couple of months of your pregnancy. You are a beautiful mother!

With love and affection,

Stephanie Driessen
