After

After lunch we got some "Happy Birthday" balloons and took them to Maddie and spent some time at the cemetary.

Grandma, Grandpa, Drake and Maddie
It's still hard only being able to take her balloons but this year was better than last. Family helps to have around as well as great friends and family members who never forget.
Drake and Daddy had some fun while we were there! I love the expressions on their faces, such happiness.

Love this picture
As tradition we went to the downsized Trail of Lights that night with all of our friends. It didn't compare in the least with the real Trail of Lights but it was still great to go out in the cold, eating the delicious kettle corn and feel Christmas in the air! So I was excited my Mom could come again and bring along my Dad this year. Here are the twinners in their hats!

My cute parents
The boys and...
The girls and...
Finally the kiddo's!
(to bad we didn't get a group shot, what were we thinking?!)
Along with the tradition of going to the Trail of Lights every year we always go to to this quaint little cafe shop with the James' and get hot chocolate, apple cider, and some kind of treat. For 4 years we have done this and it is always a highlight of the night!
We did make a cupcake cake in honor of Maddie again this year but unfortunately forgot to take a picture, shame on me. But all in all it was a good day. A good uplifting day to remember our little girl on her 3rd birthday.

Happy Birthday to Maddie! I love those pictures of Jordan and Drake.
My heart still aches for you and I still get teary eyed thinking about her. I'm sure you can still feel her close by.
Much love to you guys...time is a marvelous gift, especially when it comes to healing and comfort and the blessings which come with each passing year. Your Drake is beautiful...but he can't help that, now can he, with such beautiful parents...inside and out.
