Just doing this post makes me want to go back to the Bahamas so bad. It was truly paradise! The water was crystal clear and warm, the beach house we rented was awesome, the island was beautiful and clean, we had just the right amount of activities and down time and the company couldn't be beat, with the exception of Micah, Tyler, Alisha and kids who we all wished were there. We spent 7 days in the bahamas and leading up to it, Drake ask us everyday when we were going.
The pics speak for themselves...
This was our awesome 10 passenger van that we had all week. It was hilarious/nerve-racking watching my Dad drive because the steering wheel was on the right side of the car and you have to drive on the left hand side of the road.
My parents and Brandy and Landry arrived before we did and stopped off alongside the road and bought some live crab for dinner!
The first 2 days we spent at the infamous Atlantis resort water park. That property is HUGE and so awesome. We had such a great time there.
I have never seen more amazing aquariums than at the Atlantis! They were everywhere with unbelievable fish.
I spy a hammerhead shark...I had to document this because Drake probably talks about the "hammer" sharks in the Bahamas once a week. He LOVED seeing all of the fish.
Speaking of fish, my dad took out a little inflatable boat one evening and caught these delicious beauties!
Happy 4th of July! We headed back to the Atlantis to watch such a great firework show!
One of the days we went to the Straw Market to do a little looking around and shopping.
Jordan did some good bargaining for this guitar, you can tell how excited Drake was? :)
For lunch we ate at the Fish Fry and this was their high chair. Ha Needless to say Lydia didn't stay to long in that chair.
The boys went deep sea fishing one of the days and they each caught a barracuda. Nothing they could fry up but they had a good time nonetheless!
One of the things I loved about our days is that we could go take a swim in the ocean, snorkel a little bit, lay out, then hang out by the pool, come in and eat something, go back out by the beach, take a nap....ect. it was so relaxing and FUN!
Drake is a fantastic snorkeler! (is that a word?) And loves it! He snorkeled everyday.
The night before we had to leave we all went out to dinner to celebrate Brittney's birthday! It was technically the day that we would be traveling all day to get home so we wanted to celebrate a day early.
Happy Birthday Britt! She is such an amazing person, sister, friend, and aunt who I love with all my heart.
This trip could not have been possible without my great parents who love their family so much. Thank you Mom and Dad for all the memories we will cherish.
